Mike Bossick earned his Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky with an additional Graduate Certificate in College Teaching and Learning. His dissertation centered around student consumerism in higher education, exploring the various types of capital students seek at different types of institutions. Outside of academia he has worked in state government and at a policy research center.
Courses taught include: social inequality, the sociology of education, social problems, diversity and inclusion, research methods, sociology of the family, and introduction to sociology.
