Diana Douglas

Diana Douglas earned her M.A. in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2012. Her research interests included sociology of health, political sociology, and welfare states. After graduation, Diana relocated to California to pursue a career in health policy in the State Capitol. She currently works as a policy and legislative advocate for Health Access, a nonprofit coalition fighting for quality, affordable health care for all. Previously, she worked as a health policy analyst for a State Senator, where she helped pass landmark immunization legislation. Diana enjoys staying connected to the UNC Charlotte community by continuing to teach political sociology courses online.
